What We Believe

At New Covenant Christian Fellowship, our beliefs are rooted in the truth of God’s Word and guide how we live, worship, and serve.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the complete and inspired Word of God.

• The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were inspired by the Holy Spirit as originally written
• Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16

God

We believe in one true God, Creator of all things.

• Holy, sovereign, and eternal
• Existing in three equal Persons:
  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the absolute deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

• Eternally existing with the Father in glory
• Active in creation
• Born of a virgin
• Lived a sinless life
• Died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins
• Rose bodily from the dead
• Ascended triumphantly into heaven
• Continues His mediatorial ministry
• Will personally return again

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit.

• Convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment
• Regenerates, indwells, seals, and sanctifies believers
• Illuminates truth and comforts God’s people
• Baptizes believers into the Body of Christ at salvation
• Distributes spiritual gifts according to His will
• Fills those who yield to Him

Mankind

We believe humanity was created in the image of God.

• Adam was divinely created but fell through disobedience
• As a result, all humanity inherited a sinful nature
• All people are guilty before God and subject to physical and spiritual death apart from Him

Salvation

We believe salvation is by the grace of God alone.

• Jesus Christ willingly died as the atoning sacrifice for sin
• Justification comes through faith alone in His finished work and resurrection
• Those who are called by God are preserved by Him
• Believers will ultimately be perfected in the image of Christ

Our Foundation

These beliefs are the foundation of our faith and the message we live and share. Everything we do flows from our commitment to God’s truth and His transforming power
